Hallmark

Dear Hallmark,

I am writing to discuss with you my frustration with your e-card business model change on www.hallmark.com.  I have been sending Hallmark e-cards for years (as many of my friends can attest since they have received just about every Hoops & YoYo card imaginable) and recently was quite disappointed at the transition of some of my favorite free cards to e-cards costing a minimum of $0.99.  Why the backtracking?  Some of these cards have been around for years, and now you want to charge me for them?!  I think not.

Equally disappointing is the fact that the majority of your "Staff Picks" are no longer free.  Isn't it enough that when I purchase a paper greeting card I pay almost $5 for your cards with the little gold seal so that I do not have to lick the envelope (goodness knows where that's been and how many hands have touched it)?  You have left me no choice, but to rethink my e-card supplier.  I will miss Hoops, YoYo, and their crazy antics, but seriously, no one needs to pay good money for those little guys and their ridiculousness.

Sincerely,
Former e-Card Addict

History

Why don't some people use the "Reply with History" feature in their work emails?  Is it that difficult?  Do they forget?  Do they flip back and forth between the email they are responding to and their response to make sure they cover everything?  Isn't that just electronic inefficiency?  This may not be such a big problem if people responded to email in a timely manner (e.g., less than 2 weeks from receipt of email), but when you randomly receive emails that say things like, "Sounds good." and that's it.  Sometimes I'm left in a daze until I figure out when I wrote the person and what I wrote them about.  Obviously I've had a spark of brilliance and they decided it "sounds good", but really, I have no idea what they are talking about since I have probably sent out another 50+ emails and requested hundreds of other documents by the time their "sounds good" reaches my Inbox.

**Sometimes I'm obnoxious and will find the original email and copy/paste it to my reply to them just to be a jerk.  I mean, just to keep things documented properly.

Truth

Truth can be discovered, but first we have to have an attitude of openness that says, "I want the truth more than anything else." Once you choose that attitude, you can discover the truth.

Arlington

So I've shown this to enough people that it deserves to be put out there for the masses.

My current favorite YouTube video.

Enjoy!
